On the Rise: Music Producer Godwayne Shares Plans to Upgrade His Home Studio

Freelance music producer Godwayne has been quietly making his mark in the music scene with a unique sound that blends emotion, soul, and creativity. Working from his home studio, he’s produced tracks for singers, songwriters, and content creators around the world—crafting everything from smooth acoustic pieces to moody beats and cinematic instrumentals. Now, with more projects coming in and his sound evolving, Godwayne is looking ahead—and planning a full upgrade to his studio setup.

“I’ve been creating with the same gear for a while now, and it’s served me well,” he says.“But I’m reaching a point where I want to invest in tools that match the direction I’m going. I want the people I work with to have the best possible experience.”

Godwayne’s current setup is solid, but he’s aiming for higher-quality tools that can help him capture even more detail and emotion in his music. One of the first items on his list is swapping out his Behringer B2-Pro microphone for a Neumann U87, a mic known for its warm, clear sound—ideal for vocals and instruments alike.

He also plans to upgrade his Samson mic stands to newer, sturdier models, making sessions smoother and more flexible.

His go-to Rhodes M5 keyboard may soon be replaced with a Neumann C-2, a change that would bring greater precision and a more polished tone to his recordings. On the acoustic side, he’s looking to trade in his Acoustic Greg Daniel guitar for the widely loved Taylor Mini, a compact guitar with a surprisingly full sound. One of the most exciting upgrades on the horizon: replacing his Yamaha electric piano with a Yamaha upright piano, to bring a more natural, expressive feel to his compositions.

These upgrades are part of a bigger vision. As Godwayne continues to attract new collaborators and expand his sound, he wants his studio to reflect the level of care and creativity he brings to every project. For now, the upgrades are still in the planning stage—but the intention is clear. Godwayne is building toward something bigger, and for artists looking to collaborate with a producer who values both sound and soul, now might be the perfect time to connect.
